A native of San Jose, Dr. Paul Vu earned his Bachelors of Science degree in biology at the University of California Riverside in 1992. He went on to complete his doctorate in optometry at the New England College of Optometry in Boston Massachusetts in 1996. Dr. Vu returned home to San Jose and became a partner in a group practice and became it's Director of Optometric Services in 2000. His practice included family eye care, pediatric eye care, contact lenses, and LASIK. He is a member of the Santa Clara Optometric Society and the American Optometric Association. He joined Spectrum Eye Physicians in November of 2009. Dr. Vu is married and has 2 daughters. He enjoys family life, playing tennis, and taking on challenging projects. Dr. Vu believes that patients have different needs and understanding those needs is what makes you a good doctor. He believes that the doctor and patient should have open lines of communication and strongly encourages his patients to ask questions or call him whenever they have questions. Accessibility to the doctor helps to build stronger patient-doctor relationships. Dr Vu also speaks fluent Vietnamese. |
