Dr. Engelman graduated with High Distinction in general scholarship from U.C. Berkeley and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honors society while attending Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in ophthalmology at Stanford University and a glaucoma fellowship at Devers Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society. Dr. Engelman is committed to educating future physicians and ophthalmologists, serving as clinical instructor for the department of ophthalmology at Stanford University and as director of glaucoma at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. He is actively involved in medical research, investigating new medical and surgical approaches to the management of glaucoma. Outside of his medical practice, he most enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. |
